Gleneagles is already well-known as a leading European golf resort with its own spa and offers therapies from the innovative ESPA program.

By popular demand, the new spa will include 20 treatment rooms set in 5,630 square feet of space. New facilities will include spacious treatment rooms, many with private bathrooms; a Spa Café with juice bar, 'Heat Experiences' featuring an ice foundation with sauna and steam rooms; a Vitality Pool, with airbed recliners, and full body and neck massagers; The 'Holding Space' a relaxing pre-treatment room complete with a glass walled fountain and trees to provide balance, plus relaxation rooms using an open fire as the central focus creating all-encompassing post treatment relaxation.

Interior design for the new look Spa combines walnut paneling and limestone tiled flooring, with deep burgundy leather, glass beaded curtains plus glass walls and partitions throughout.

Additional features will include a Barber's Shop complete with a 1930's antique barber's chair obtained from an ocean liner, a Hair Salon, Manicure & Pedicure facilities; plus Waxing Zones.

'DESEO'

Gleneagles' new dining experience, 'DESEO' - based on a translation from Spanish meaning 'whatever you desire', seats up to 200 guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner, providing a vibrant, Mediterranean inspired location to eat, drink and relax in.

Diners can order their food to their person requirements and are encouraged to meet directly with DESEO's chefs and purveyors. Cuisine ranges from meats, poultry and seafood, plus pizzas, sandwiches and pasta, as well as a full stocked 'Antipasto Table' laden with tapas including herb-roasted vegetables, olives, charcuterie, sun-ripened fruits, cheeses and freshly baked artisan breads.

TEN NEW 'SPIRIT SUITES' INCLUDING 'THE BLUE TOWER' SUITE

The Gleneagles Hotel's ten new 'Spirit' suites, opening in June 2007, will be named after world leading spirit drink brands. There will be a one bedroom suite and nine two bedroom suites including the split level 'Blue Tower Suite', housed in 560 square feet of space in Gleneagles'original tower, sitting grandly over the hotel's entrance, boasting its own rooftop Jacuzzi. The Home Cinema and Play Station 3. The development comprises a stunning redesign of Gleneagles' top floor accommodation and affords breathtaking views over the Ochil Hills.

Award winning international interior designer, Amanda Rosa, has been commissioned to create suite interiors which will incorporate boldly patterned contemporary fabrics in rich bitter chocolate and teal tones, contrasted against neutral colored walls. Highly polished wood and chrome furniture, elegant lamps and rich leather interiors create a sleek look, along with oversized sofas, perfect to relax and unwind in.

Bedrooms will feature window seats with throw cushions; the ideal place to lose yourself in a book after a hard day's riding at the Equestrian School or fishing on the lochs. Stylish bathrooms offer the ultimate in luxury bathing. Materials reflect the old world, using deep chocolate colored marble, soothing tobacco slate and chunky chrome taps.

THE GUNDOG SCHOOL AT GLENEAGLES

The first Gundog School of its kind in the world will open at Gleneagles during August 2007. The new school will be a natural accompaniment to Gleneagles' existing country pursuits, including the Equestrian and Shooting Schools and The British School of Falconry at Gleneagles.

Guests will learn how to handle a trained gundog as well as the principles of controlling a gundog in the field. The popular breeds of gundogs will be explored together with their history and abilities. Lessons will follow basic obedience and 'retrieves' allowing guests to forge a genuine relationship with their dog. The opportunity for more advanced Field Craft Lessons will provide guests with the opportunity to handle a dog over a rustic agility course with ' pheasant flushes', 'rising duck' and 'rabbit retrieves' through cover and in water.
